Description

Evolve are partnering with a specialist Hospital who are currently recruiting for a number of Biomedical Scientists to join their team. Day-to-day you’ll be responsible for a range of tasks from analysing samples to detect abnormalities to using advanced equipment like microscopes, flow cytometers or molecular analysers.

This is a 9-month contract role in multiple locations based in Dublin.

Ideal Requirements for the Biomedical Scientist
A degree accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS)
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)  or CORU to practice.
Be experienced working in an ISO 15189 accredited laboratory.
Have paediatric blood transfusion and haematology laboratory experience.
Experience of performing routine Molecular detection of bacteria and viruses.

Role Responsibilities for the Biomedical Scientist
Be familiar with the requirements of ISO 15189 and operate within the DPLM Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 15189.
Participate in the timely and proper processing of all specimens received in the laboratory in accordance with procedures and prioritise urgent work.
Operate in compliance with current health and safety at work legislation.
Conduct open and honest reporting and investigation of nonconformances.
