Pharmacy Technician

Evolve are recruiting for an independent Pharmacy client who are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their team in Leixlip. In this role, you’ll focus on the accurate and efficient preparation and management of prescriptions behind the scenes, working closely with the Pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and compliance with safety standards.

This is a full-time position working Monday – Friday (9am – 6pm) and one in every four Saturdays (10am – 6)

Ideal Requirements for the Pharmacy Technician
•    Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience demonstrating proficiency in medication dispensing and patient support.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
•    Self-motivated and team-oriented, able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative environment.
•    Strong time management abilities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Role Responsibilities for the Pharmacy Technician
•    Accurately receive and verify prescription information from patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use.
•    Prepare and dispense medications with precision under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, supporting optimal patient care.
•    Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
•    Adhere to strict legal and safety standards in handling medications, including controlled substances, to guarantee compliance and patient safety.
