Description

Evolve is partnering with a leading ophthalmic organisation to recruit a Graduate Medical Sales Representative. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in healthcare sales, gaining hands-on experience within the NHS and a specialist therapeutic area. You’ll develop your understanding of NHS structures and patient pathways, engage with healthcare professionals, and support the delivery of local business plans. With full training and support, you’ll work closely with experienced commercial teams to build your skills and start a successful career in pharmaceutical sales.

This is a full-time permanent position covering Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Ideal Requirement for the Graduate Medical Sales Representative
Full UK driving licence is essential.
Recent graduate, ideally in a scientific subject.
Strong sales experience in a customer-facing environment.
Excellent demonstrable research into the medical sales industry.
Shadowing experience of a Medical Sales Representative is highly advantageous.
Keen desire to step into the medical sales industry.

Role Responsibilities for the Graduate Medical Sales Representative
Take ownership of a local NHS territory and build your commercial impact - Begin developing full accountability for a defined healthcare locality, working across primary and secondary care to build strong relationships and support growth within the ophthalmology portfolio.
Develop and deliver a clear local business plan - Learn how to create and execute structured, insight-led territory plans aligned with NHS priorities and company goals, with a focus on key products such as Hylo and branded glaucoma generics.
Build trusted relationships across the NHS network - Start to establish and grow relationships with a wide range of NHS stakeholders—including ICBs, formulary committees, ophthalmologists, optometrists, pharmacists, and primary care professionals—to understand local pathways and influence decision-making.
Use data and collaboration to drive performance - Develop your ability to use CRM systems, analytics, and sales tools to identify opportunities and support decision-making, while working closely with cross-functional teams including Medical, Marketing, and Commercial colleagues.
