Medical Affairs Director – Aesthetics

Evolve are partnering with a leading aesthetics organisation who are seeking a Medical Affairs Director to join their UK team. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape the medical strategy of the UK affiliate, driving scientific leadership, evidence generation, KOL engagement and organisational capability across the business.

Working closely with the Country Manager, Commercial Director, Marketing Director and wider Country Leadership Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring scientific insight shapes business strategy, supporting future growth opportunities and strengthening the organisation’s position within the aesthetics market.

This is a full-time opportunity, offering hybrid working from their head office in Hertfordshire, reporting directly to the Country Manager and leading a multidisciplinary Medical Affairs team.

Ideal Requirements for the Medical Affairs Director

Significant Medical Affairs experience, ideally gained within aesthetics, pharmaceuticals or medical devices, with a strong understanding of the scientific and commercial environment.

Advanced scientific qualification such as PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent, alongside experience as a Final Signatory.

Proven strategic leadership experience, with the ability to develop medical strategy, influence affiliate business planning and translate scientific insight into business opportunities.

Previous people leadership experience, with the ability to develop talent, coach teams and create a collaborative and high-performing Medical Affairs function.

Strong KOL and external stakeholder engagement experience, with the credibility to build relationships with leading HCPs, scientific experts and faculty.

Role Responsibilities for the Medical Affairs Director

Lead the UK Medical Affairs strategy by developing the affiliate medical strategy, integrated brand medical plans and providing medical input into the wider three-year business strategy.

Drive scientific insight generation by establishing a robust insight framework, translating MSL observations and KOL feedback into actionable recommendations and monitoring competitive scientific activity, treatment trends and emerging opportunities.

Build external scientific influence by developing strong relationships with leading KOLs, supporting faculty development and representing the organisation at key congresses and scientific events.

Lead evidence generation strategy across publication planning, advisory boards, real-world evidence initiatives and investigator-led studies, ensuring scientific data is effectively generated and communicated.

Develop organisational capability by building scientific knowledge across Commercial, Marketing and the Country Leadership Team, including product science, clinical evidence, competitive science, data interpretation and claims substantiation.

Lead and develop the Medical Affairs team, providing clear direction, coaching and development while ensuring resources are aligned to the organisation’s strategic priorities.
