Description

Evolve are exclusively partnering with a market-leading Ophthalmology organisation who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a well-established territory across the Thames Valley, West London and surrounding Home Counties, driving growth within key Optical accounts. With the autonomy to shape your territory plan and make a visible commercial impact, this role offers the chance to combine strategic account development with genuine sector expertise.

Ideal Requirements

A relevant degree would be desirable.

Ideally at least 3 years’ experience of working within Optical / Ophthalmic sales.

Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritising and handling own work.

Must be able to understand sales data – skills to interpret sales trends, handle collection, collation and use of data to assist in account and territory analysis and planning.

Role Responsibilities

Take ownership of high-value accounts, shaping territory strategy and unlocking new commercial opportunities to expand market presence.

Develop strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and opinion leaders, collaborating on joint business plans that create measurable value.

Analyse sales data, manage promotional investment effectively, and implement focused activity plans that directly impact revenue and brand growth.

Have meaningful clinical and commercial conversations that clearly show the value of the ophthalmic portfolio within the Optical sector.
